Major SAR Demo 15th and 16th at Weston
« on: March 11, 2012, 08:30:04 PM »
For anyone that might be interested in catching a SAR demo from four country's helicopters  then Weston next Thursday and Friday might be the place to be...   ;D

Quote
Coast Guard chiefs from a number of countries will attend the conference including the US, UK and Sweden. All four Coast Guard helicopters will be on hand to give a search and rescue demonstration at an event in Weston Airport as part of the conference.

Are all four aircraft going to be Irish coastguard or are the UK sending an aircraft over.
In weston today and looked like they were getting ready for the visit as all aircraft were out of the hangers.

Thanks for the comments guys, Weston was a busy place yesterday with the normal training going on between the arrivals.

Its been at weston since 2006, it was planned to restore it and display it with the Bucc as part of a museum, sadly those plans are now a thing of the past and the aircraft are all up for sale...

That Griffin is quite a rare bird-I don`t recall ever seeing one in Northern Ireland, but I have seen them in Scotland and Cyprus.
