Above the cloud, but interesting enough for a shot.

G-WIRG is operated on behalf of a 'client' by Air Charter Scotland and was recently in the news as the aircraft involved in the failed attempt to repatriate Ifa Muaza back to Nigeria.

Seen this morning zipping westwards at FL350.  EMBRAER Legacy 650.

There was a nice A380 contrail overhead this morning as I waited with my son at his school - no camera :( Same time last week I noticed a different looking contrail and it was a BA 787 - note to self, have camera with you next week :)

I think I saw that on around 0845ish-very solid looking contrail and looked gorgeous back lit by the rising sun.

Pretty cruddy conditions, through the dusky cloud.  But it's B752 M-RISE of Talos Aviation, so I ventured out into the cold.

You'll have to pop in for a cuppa next time you're in town!

The A380 was F-HPJA, I tried a few shots but he stayed above a light layer of cloud so the pics weren't sharp.

As you say, though, lovely trail.

Airprox!

I was chasing a very hazy, distant KC-135R ( 57-1502 ) and someone else wandered into the shot!

The pics of the '135 were rubbish anyway, so I was glad of the distraction.

I haven't seen this boyo in a while.  Hiding above the clouds, Transat's A310 C-GTSY westbound this afternoon.

Stumpy little fat fuselage and equally stubby, bat-shaped wing.  Something different at least.

This one stayed out to the south, but I finally managed to catch a Martinair MD-11F.  PH-MCW as MPH1155 westbound at FL300, quite low.

Barely visible above cloud, but thought it was worth including... when is the last time you saw a British Airways-liveried 757?!  F-HAVI operating BOS3 westbound.

And a late afternoon surprise, Virgin's G-VINE running westwards just after Sunset ( around 16:10 ) with the Sun's terminator right down the centreline of the fuselage!
