Super set of shots, they look nice & sharp with plenty of detail. :)
I'm driving a friend to Dublin airport next Fri for a flight (reall early!!) and may hang about to see if I can get a few shots before coming back, never been there before (were these from what looks like a layby/raised area along the south perimeter road  ??? just going by what I can see on google maps  :-\ ).
Hope the weather is good that day!!  :)

Yes Paul I'm very happy with the new lens, Just have to get used to the twist on the zoom being opposite to the old lens...

Hi Joey, Most of these shots were taken from the mound at the carpark you see on google maps but it all depends on which runway is being used...This should give you all the info you need.... http://www.plane-mad.com/airport-spotting-guides/ireland/dublin-dub-eidw.html

After leaving my friend to the airport yesterday I drove around the perimeter to see where the spotting places were. I thought it may of interest to some (who like me had not been there before) as to what the lay-by at Runway 28 'entry' point was like.
too wet for me to bother taking any pics, plus I doubt if I could have climbed up to the top of the bank!! (too fat/unfit/steep/slippery & muddy) unless there was an easier way up it which I couldn't see.
(Stills taken from my dashcam & reduced in size for posting - time an hour out as I have not updated it for 'summer' time yet)

On a wet day, it's easier to walk up the mound at the far end of the lay by (in third picture) as it's not too high, and walk along the top of the mound behind the cars to the larger mound just visible in the first picture.

cheers for that, I must try to get a run there on a dry day as it looks (& from the super pics others have posted) like a good spot.
 :) :)
