Turkish A400M

Question from Sneaky Nikon...

  Right, I've asked this in a couple of places and I never get a straight answer. Does anyone know if the Turks call their A400s "Atlas"?

I ask because the Turks don't call Atlas (the bloke that holds up the sky in myth) Atlas, something to do with their antipathy for Greeks I think, but I wouldn't swear to it.

The answers to questions like these keep me awake at night.

I don`t know one way or the other, but when the aircraft made it`s debut at RIAT 2012 it was announced it would be called Airbus A400M Atlas.

I suppose it`s down to the particular operator if they want to use the Atlas name or not.
