Title: De Havilland DH.88 Comet crash at Shuttleworth.

This happened yesterday evening 15/08/2026

The aircraft (G-ACSS),bounced on landing,then overran the landing strip and nosed over, ending up on its back.
Witness reports say the aircraft sustained substantial damage including the tail breaking off.
The pilot was the sole occupant of the aircraft, according to reports he made it out of the aircraft,but their condition is unknown.
In an update on Sunday, the trust said the pilot had now been discharged from hospital.
