Title: F-15s into Shannon.
Post by: sneaky_nikon on Oct 04, 2026, 20:22
QuoteTwelve Strike Eagles set off across the Atlantic on Saturday, 3 October 2026, heading home to North Carolina after a deployment to the Middle East. Two of them ended the day in County Clare.

One of the US Air Force F-15Es developed a fuel problem over the North Atlantic, declared an emergency and requested priority to divert to Shannon Airport in the west of Ireland. It landed at about 4:34 p.m., with its wingman following it in shortly afterwards.
