Post by: angry turnip on May 07, 2025, 14:03
Three Frecce Tricolori Aircraft collided mid-air,but managed to land relatively safely.
The incident happened at the Pantelleria Airshow on Pantelleria island, Italy.

Link has loads of pop ups, sorry. You Tube one isn't so bad for pop ups.

I thought the team were getting new aircraft for this season but it appears not as yet.
I believe they were to re-equip with a version of the Alenia Aermacchi MB346.

Yikes, glad everyone was safe. Looks like no life threatening injuries.

One of the best display teams in the world, maybe only bettered by the Korean Black  Eagles in my opinion.

They are confirmed for RIAT this year.

Wonder if this will change that.

They displayed at Rimini this weekend,it would appear all is still on for RIAT 2025, however it's possible they may change the display to some degree.

FRIAT Forum touched on it briefly. It was said they still expect them to come   with it being their 65 anniversary, but haven't heard anything officially and aren't bothering them at this time.
