Title: VTTS and The Vulcan
Post by: angry turnip on Mar 08, 2024, 10:36 AM
I didn`t realise that poor old Vulcan XH558 is sitting parked up outside in the elements at Doncaster Airport.
I had thought it was in storage in a hanger on site, but alas no.

Absolute waste. I didn't even know the airport was abandoned at present either.

Yes, the proposed visitors centre, hanger  and restoration of the Canberra they bought never came to be. They couldn't raise the £2.2m needed for the hanger and abandoned plans early 2022.  Nothing has been said about the Canberra in a long, long time.

Sad  state of affairs though Doncaster-Sheffield is due to re-open  so they might be able to keep doing taxi runs.
