Has anyone else been following this recently? Mass drone sightings in America, started in New Jersey but has been seen in a good few more places along the East coast.

What do you think is going on?

Hard to say. At first I thought it could just be consumer drones but some of the reports suggest that some of them could be at least 6ft in diameter.

Apparently they have been over Air Force & Navy bases. A couple of weeks ago there were sightings of them over Lakenheath, Fairford and Mildenhall too.

I do think they are American. if they weren't America wouldn't allow it to continue like this especially since they shot down the Chinese "Spy Balloon" a while ago.

The conspiracy theorist in me says American but developed in the likes of  Area 51  and are tests of new unmanned aircraft lol

With drones being freely available in all sorts of shapes and sizes, you are always going to get some folk who won`t play by the rules and use their drones in a irresponsible manner.
If the airbases and other sites actually felt these things posed a viable threat, then they would almost certainly taken action against them before now.

Drone control frequencies can easily be jammed,or they can be shot down. Most are probably joe public fooling around, however there could be a more sinister element to it.Could be the military testing their own new hardware as suggested, " Hide in plain sight "
If the military bring a few down, I reckon it would stop it.
