2024 is over with, we move on to 2025. What have been your highlights/top moments of 2024 in your aviation trips.

 For me

1) F4 Phantoms at RIAT. This was something special. On the Friday 2 F4 Phantoms arrived, and proceeded to do multiple high speed passes, closest we will probably ever get to a F4 Demo again. We also had 2x Tornados, Harrier an F5 and a Mirage flying that day. Felt like a real Cold War show!

2) DC6 at Duxford - This was spectacular. I'd never seen the DC6 before and it put on a fantastic display with a wing-over I've not seen the likes off since the Vulcan almost rolled in a display years ago.

3) Couteau Delta at Cosford - I hadn't seen them since 2017 and they put on a fantastic display at a great Cosford Airshow this year. They started a little far away and a little slow but by the end had put on an amazing demo.

4) U2s at RIAT - Friday saw a very rare U2 demo at RIAT, my first time ever seeing one fly. We thought it would be a take off, pass and landing but they went into a full demo for us. A few hours later a fully kitted out operational U2 also arrived back to base.

5) Battle of Britain mass flypast - 12 Spitfires and 4 Hurricanes while a Hispano Buchón flew a joker display was absolutely fantastic. I've seen the mass formation a number of times but never get bored of it. A mass start up of Spitfires infront of you is impressive.

That`s some list... 8)

I didn`t go to anyshows this year, just a drive to RAF Lossiemouth in July, was good to see anything at all, four Typhoons came out and departed together, and a surprise visit flypast from G-PBYA.
