Left the gas on

We get a lot of contrails over Lurgan but I saw a very unusual one today - the aircraft did a complete 180 degree turn. I've only seen this once before - almost as if the pilot released (s)he'd left the gas on :)

I see the occasional training flight on my SBS screen and they sometimes do a 180 and return to the mainland.
Don't see any 'emergency' threads on PpRune ;)

So would it have been a civilian training flight or military?

It's Civil ones i see on the 'radar screen'.Cityjet and Ryanair usually.

Mil aircraft only appear in the list - they don't send Lat and Long co-ords (for obvious reasons),and therefore don't show position on screen. At least you still have an idea of who is mooching around ;)
My coverage isn't great but that is kind of a plus as anything i pick up is guaranteed to be nearby ;D
