They need to keep it in closer and lower so people can actually see the aircraft.

if only to let people see the new 2014 paint scheme.

Newcastle is actually the only date on the 2014 schedule that has the Lancaster displaying on its own.

Hope she makes it over - would really like some decent photos of that aircraft. It's been a long time since I saw her (Enniskillen Airshow many years ago)

I think the last time I saw her was Bangor 1995 for VE day? I'm almost sure the Lancaster made it over that day.

hmmmm.. I was almost sure it was Bangor for VE day. either 94 or 95 as we went to both I believe.

I am sure I saw the Lancaster in the mid 90s over here somewhere. Always thought it was Bangor.

Urgh, I'm half right, we saw the Lancaster flying in 2000 in Newtownards

http://www.irishairpics.com/photo/1002894/M/Avro-Lancaster-B1/PA474/Royal-Air-Force/?&sid=4959734101&sp=49

Sally B was 1995 at VE day celebrations.

But we did see the Lancaster in 1995 lol. Aldergrove open day 1995 when it was on a ground display.

Lancaster was last at Portrush Airshow in 2005 though she did come back for the North West 200 in May 2006

You're quite right! We had a Tornado, Lanc, Spit, Hurri, Matadors, Puma formation and the crowd had their heads buried in the race programme or a filled soda!

Which would go some way to explaining why there have been no air displays at the NW200 in recent years!  :(
