Well for the past week I have been on a trip to Zurich with the girlfriend. We stayed at a 4 star hotel right next to the airport and funnily enough, thenotel was an ex-McDonalds hotel, so the bed head boards were the Golden Archs of McDonalds
Zurich offered some amazing spotting locations, even within the airport grounds themselves, and the police don't mind a single bit. I was leant a step ladder by a fellow Swiss spotter, and was right up to the fence with my lens between the wires yet all I got was friendly waves from passing police patrols!
The traffic is also fantastic there, as Swiss have 13 A340's, and 11 A330's, and the likes of Singapore and Thai Airlines fly there with their 777's, A345's and A346's. On the day we opted to go plane spotting, it was the hottest day in Zurich in the entire year! 34oC I think the temperature got to, and with no wind! I was close to feinting in the afternoon!
