Spotting in Dublin ... help please!
« on: November 06, 2016, 02:05:01 PM »
Folks,
Planning a day off soon, just some 'me' time!
Assuming I could get down to Dublin for around 11am, am I likely to see anything interesting? I know I'll get the lunchtime EI long-hauls, but what about the US carriers? And mid-East? (Being lazy here, I'll check their websites).

Also, any good places to spot, other than the south perimeter spot?

Ta!

The US carriers normally head out mid-morning (10am onwards).

In addition to EI and Ryanair there'll be the likes of Turkish, Lufthansa, Emirates, Norwegian amongst others, not to mention the business jets.

Plus there's always the possibility of a diversion.

South perimeter is still the best place to spot as it's the easiest to get to [and keeps the sun at your back]. You could spot from the north side if inclined but it is more difficult to get to if you don't have your own transport. You'll be closer to the taxi-way but may end up shooting into the sun if its a good day  :)

Thanks chaps...just looking a wee relaxing day, might make it down in time for DL45. Or, might go for a coffee, and split the day between BHD and BFS!

You'll see more movements at DUB in a single day than BFS and BHD combined  ;D

More variety too.
