A bit of a road trip to Shannon to get the WP-3D Orion of NOAA did a few engine runs but never flew  :(  quite day but some nice light looks like another 525 mile round trip maybe required

Cor blimey you're dedicated, sometimes 10 mins down the road to EGAD seems too far for me!

Wait a moment, that Kuwaiti B77W is a *daily* service through Shannon to New York?!

Initially I had assumed you'd caught a one-off in for painting, but it's actually a revenue service.  Wow, how on Earth did EGAA not bag that one?

Ah, looks like they also do pre-clearance for the passengers who embarked in Kuwait City until the latter airport meets US CBP requirements.  Pity Belfast can't offer that facility.

KAC117 used to be a non-stop flight right on the limit for the previous B772.

...but if a 772 could make it (even if close to its limit), you wonder why a 773ER needs to stop...

Nice shots in great light-pity you didn`t get to see the Onion  ;)  fly,especially after such a long journey-maybe next time.
