« on: December 18, 2006, 01:02:53 PM »
The US-designed F-35 Joint Strike Fighter has completed its first test flight.

The project, part-funded by Britain and seven other non-US partner countries, is the world's costliest current warplane project, worth nearly £140bn.

The test flight is understood to have achieved most of its goals.
