Air France Airbus at BFS

Air France Airbus A300 or 330 (just got a brief glimpse) landed at BFS approx 1805 today.

An unusual visitor.

It would not of  been an A300 Air France dont have them , could of been an A330-200 as they have 14 of them. Nothing on LIBHOMERADAR like

I think it may have been a freighter-as I said just got a brief glimpse so not sure exactly what it was but A330-200 sounds about right.

Maybe one of the usual freighters went "tech". the TNT A300`s had a nasty habit of refusing to play ball many times when I worked on them.

Currently there is no such thing as an A330 Freighter ??? Although there will be by the end of the year if Airbus gets the new A330F in the air.

I'm not sure what an Air France A330 would be doing in BFS, or Air France for that matter.

Must have been an A320/A321 then-I only saw it for a split second-talking to my next door neighbour and he saw it too.-didn`t notice any windows so I thought it may have been a freighter,but you are correct Dave there isn`t any A330 Freighters yet so that rules that out.

I suspect it might just have been a charter,possibly rugby team or some such-anyone got any info from SBS.

Like I mentioned it`s an unususal visitor.Curious to know why it was in

The only real thing i can see around that time is the Onur Air A321 from Dalaman. I think this may be your answer.

The Onur Air A321 lands at 20.00 for the Bodrum and again at 21:10 for the Dalaman so it wasnt an Onur Air

May not have been an Air France cargo - do they not just operate 747 and 777 cargo planes?

It was an Air Italy 767 military charter, reg I-AIGI. Did go-around on 25 before landing due to packing-up of traffic on approach.

It wasn`t the Onur Air A321-Air Italy B767 just landed at BFS and went to the mil side landed 1819 approx

Might have been the Air Italy B767 as it is in again tonight,light wasn't great last night and Air Italy tail is not dissimilar to Air France

That's solved then, Air Italy's tail is pretty much identical (except colour wise). That's a nice sighting, I wondering if it'll return tomorrow evening as well.

It was the Air Italy B767-200,spoke to a freind who has access to a SBS and he confirmed it.

A Scooby Doo mystery solved! ;)
