Low volume was the problem. Need a venue to take about 200 people before it breaks even. I think capacity was around 80 max.

Lancaster's apparently gone tech this weekend. Hopefully she will be ready in time for next weekend.

Edit: Fixed and in the skies again already :)

So where would be the best place to go this year?

I went up to Ramore head car park last year but view was quite obstructed by a 2 story portable cabin I assume the flight control team were using. So I went down to the Beach near Village South. Was a good view but still preferred Ramore head car park area

This will sound weird coming from me of all people... But I find it harder to get excited for the shows here now. Portrush still has some great aircraft I want to see (DC3, Huey, Sea Fury, BBMF & Catalina) and they do a great job putting a show together. However, since I started going across to England for shows like RIAT and Cosford   its actually hard to get as excited as I once did for a seaside show.

RIAT will pretty much ruin any other air show, although it itself it not what it used to be either.

Must not have made the final cut, his Portrush listing has been removed from his website.

He is one of the best civilian displays out there so its sad to see he won't be there. Always an exciting display.

Edit: UAS Puma on the road. Rumours up to 6 Aircraft on static.
Edit 2: BBMF Hurricane being used for displays this weekend has gone tech today.
Edit 3: BBMF Timings for weekend, based out of Scotland it seems.

I think that's doubtful - they are displaying at Prestwick both days so they'll probably come over from there on Sunday and head straight back there.
