To be honest I half expected the arrestor gear thing would come up again this year,after the claim was made that the Swiss F-18 required this for it`s display regulations.
I think we all know here,that this is nonsense for most European fast jets,and certainly the display teams which are mainly jet trainers.
Aldergrove is more than able to deal with fastjets,despite it not having arrestor gear,as mentioned earlier there isn`t that many European fast jets equipped with a hook in any case,some like the Dutch F-16 use a chute to add braking.
