USAF C-5 Galaxy U-Turn

Noticed USAF Lockheed C-5M Galaxy 85-0009 RCH 803 enroute from Ramstein to USA, has U-turned NE of Donegal at approx 2325.
It began descending over Cumbria, but carried on at 18,000ft before making the U-turn, and likely heading for PIK

Now SW of PIK still at 18,000ft and steady speed.-odd

Perhaps I am reading too much into this, but if it`s a training mission, it seems odd to operate such a large aircraft at a sustained 18,000ft. (sleepy time for me)

UPDATE: It returned to Ramstein cruising at 18,000ft and landed approx.0130

Saw it online last night, pressurisation issue?

I had considered that, but I would have thought it would need to descend to around 12,000ft if that was the case.
Also I would have expected it to land at the nearest suitable airfield, after dumping fuel if needed.
