It's so difficult to read that article, I keep getting distracted by the Rio photos on the right of the page :)

Seems there might be some confusion about this. The Telegraph article says the race will take place on Friday night, but the BBC News site says that it is on Saturday night.

One of them is wrong, as it is only supposed to take place on one night, but don't know which one.

Guys
According to the link below.. Red Bull requested permission for Saturday..

http://minutes.belfastcity.gov.uk/Published/C00000113/M00009755/AI00008696/$RedBullF1.docA.ps.pdf

I also heard Friday mentioned, and that there was possibly another event Saturday am over at Stormont, but I get the funny feeling that this was Chinese whispers combined with wishful thinking..

I know one thing.. I wouldn't miss this for the world..
We are one of only two cities in the world being offered the opportunity to host this..BRING IT ON!!!!!!!
The more high profile events we can get, the better.
I just hope that it doesn't turn into the same scenario as the Tall Ships. They became a victim of their own success.
You could hardly see anything, let alone, get the chance to take any decent photos.. and it certainly wasn't suitable for kids unless you wanted to bring them home with feet marks on their heads and backs!?!?!?!
