EI935 strange approach
« on: September 05, 2022, 07:12:56 PM »
Hi guys I was leaving work earlier and noticed flight EI935 Aer Lingus  A320 EI-DEF LHR-BHD Bank above BHD after making an approach for 22 . He circled round and then made an approach for 04 and landed . Did something happen or was there a shift in the wind I don't know what the issue was as I was driving can any one shed any light on it?? This was approx 1636 today.

Flybe G-JECY was in front of it, looks like EI-DEF was catching up and then went around. Helimed 23 was operating over Belfast at the time, so it looks from the playback EI-DEF, gave it a wide birth to land on 04.
Bear in mind playbacks on FR24 you need to go back an hour.

It was on finals for 22 then the wind picked up so did a go around and came in for 04 once clear of traffic
It looked quite gentle from where I saw it so I suspect they knew quite far out.
