Ah but it's a pity the spooks are only on static display.
Out of curiosity apart from Hammerhead, Paultojo, Keegster and myself is anyone else going?

The update comes from the FRIAT members that are kind enough to share with us mere mortals...
Dont forget there will be more updates in the coming weeks  ;D
Next on the rumor list is the B1 and perhaps a JF-17  8)

RNZAF Boeing 757 Display- CANCELLED :(

Quote
It is with great disappointment that we have to announce the   cancellation of the Boeing 757 display at this years airshow. We   recieved an e-mail from the New Zealand High Commision apologising for   the cancellation, sadly this is beyond our control, due to tasking by   the NZ government.
42 Sqn RNZAF operate two Boeing 757-200 series aircraft in support of   the New Zealand Armed Forces and Goverment. Their tasking can range   from the transportation of Government officials, troop transport and   cargo operations around the world.
The aircraft was due to arrive in the UK next week, visiting Biggin   Hill Air Fair, Waddington and RIAT. Sadly the whole detachment has now   been cancelled.

Don,

Just been looking at the current lineup and either you were holding back or they've added a ton of aircraft since your last update  ;D

Currently showing 3 Raptors and 4 MC-130's from the Americans and 2 Apache's and 4 F-16's from the Dutch, along with nearly ever type currently flying for the RAF.

No wonder the flying starts at 10 in the morning.

Gonna be epic   8)

MiG 21 LanceR (Romanian Air Force),
An-32B (Sri Lanka Air Force),

Folks, got the following email from RIAT. I'm thinking of going for the Friday evening tour round the operational area.

Would anyone else be interested?

----

New for 2010 our extended photobus operation gives you exclusive access to the showground and operational area.

On Friday 16 July two routes are available:
 11am-4pm*
Exclusive access to the showground via an Air Tattoo open-topped photobus. Buses will travel along a dedicated bus route running parallel to the static aircraft display, starting and returning from a bus terminus at Park and View East.
 NEW 6pm-8pm*
Take a tour North side, the 'Operational' area of the airfield, on an Air Tattoo open-topped photobus. This area is normally 'off limits' to the general public and offers a fantastic opportunity to photograph the aircraft taking part in this year's flying display.

 * Approximate journey time will be 30 minutes. Entry to Park and View is not included and customers will require either a park and view admission ticket or a FRIAT Mach 3 membership.

Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 July
 8am-10am and 6pm-8pm
The special north side tour is again available over the weekend of the show, starting and returning from bus stop 1, located to the rear of the concert stage. Entry to the Air Tattoo is not included and an admission ticket is required.

All tickets priced at £4 per passenger per journey are available to purchase in advance online or by calling Customer Services on FREEPHONE 0800 297 1940. There is no booking fee or postages charges payable.

Subject to availability tickets may be purchased on the day. Book early to avoid disappointment.

32GB and a laptop as well.

Guys, I know it was mentioned during the Baldonnel trip but are you still agreeable to meeting up at Fairford on Friday?

If so how best do you want to coordinate it?

Exchange mobile numbers or agree time and place?
