We'll hopefully be landing a Grumman light aircraft,  a Lake seaplane and a microlight on East Strand, Portrush tomorrow at 11am for an airshow promo. Weather looks good, light winds and clear skies. Come along and get some snaps - the planes not the models...

It took a minute or two there to notice the aircraft in the background!

Boy I must need glasses - can't see a plane anywhere lol.

Also as pointed out on Facebook the Tornado display is a two (2) ship display :)

I'm quite looking forward to it this year, especially with the Catalina visiting this year. G-PBYA used to appear annually at both Newtownards and Enniskillen so will great to see it back in NI again. I just hope it's slow enough to make a few slow turns within the bay. Other things I'm looking forward to are the Breitling Wingwalkers and the Vulcan, although I'm still half expecting the Vulcan to cancel similar to the previous time. Although it will be sad not seeing the silver AN-2 (LY-BIG) around this year, always a trusty aircraft to have at the display.

Just noticing from the publicity shots that it was sunny... I hope the 3rd and 4th will be sunny otherwise again questions will pop up as to why the airshow can't be held during the summer months when the weather often has a better chance of being decent. Fingers crossed!

I wonder if the Tornado Role Display Team is the same ones we saw at RIAT last year?

If so I wonder are they going to do pyrotechnics?
