Okay guys the wait is over. The announcement tomorrow will be that TTF and the rest of them organising committee have secured the Belgian Airforce Solo F-16 display :) One day or both days is still being worked out but having seen it at RIAT this year you are in for a treat.

As I have said TTF will be making an announcement tomorrow but has been kind enough to allow me to release the info to the site today. In return he asks that you keep it to yourselves until he has made the announcement. So please do not post on other sites or Facebook.

Thanks Tony. TTF has supplied this site with alot of info about the show over the years, sometimes well before the general public, and I wouldn't want to break his trust now.

Now that we know that it's a F-16 does anyone know if there has been any on display (flying) before in Northern Ireland. I think they have been in to Aldergrove for open days and family days but has any been on public display?

Yes that's the line-up complete (unless we go to 3 days!). Still space for Irish Air Corps if available.

Excuse my ignorance but can someone link me to the facebook page for the Portrush Airshow this year? Any time I search for it on facebook, I only find the page for the NI Airshow 2010.

And TTF, I think you're too kind too this forum.  :)  Always giving us information first which sadly gets leaked by other members, or non members who can still read the site.  :-\

Portrush this year is looking particularly good, I'm looking forward to going.

An F-16 excellent, I hope it will be a far more spirited display than the lack luster show by two USAF F-16s in Salthill a few years ago! Two years ago, in June I believe, I saw four Norwegian F-16s at Aldergrove! I've no idea what they were doing there but I suspect it was a transit stop!

That would be a very good addition to the airshow. Sounds like a good line-up for a change in terms of fast and loud stuff.

Excellent  ;D

Came across the display team website which includes the actual display manoeuvres that will be performed. There is a 'Good Weather Display' and a 'Bad Weather Display'  :)

I think we should congratulate TTF and the rest of the people who are involved in putting this show together this year i think you all would agree that they have achieved more than anyone ever expected. This is the 10th year and it looks like it will be a fantastic event. lets hope that the weather is kind to us. A BIG THANK YOU
