The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo

Out on boxing day in the cinema. Has anyone else read the books and is looking forward to this or even watched the swedish versions and are interested to see how the main characters are portrayed? Warning though! If you have no idea what the books / films are about, be careful who you take. All 3 in the series are a bit brutal and shocking in places (unless the english film lot have toned it down, which would be a big disappointment).

I've seen the three original versions and whilst brutal at points-very good movies.

As always i am worried how the Americanized versions will turn out
