Aertank, you're right that you shouldn't be getting those type of PMs. If you get any more there's a link next to the message 'Report To Admin'.

Thanks, but I'm a big lad with a back like a ducks, which is why I let them go! While I may have defended some-ones right to not understand of like the contrails photos, I totally admire those that do take the shots, I only wish I had the equipment to do the same!

Still you shouldn't have to put up with it.

I know what you mean about the contrails. I'm in awe of photos like this and always wish I had the equipment to take similar.

Is it just me or do the majority of aircraft over flying Northern Ireland now take a more Northernly route than they used to. I've been sat here watching flight radar for the past hour or two, and only 3 aircraft have over flown Belfast, the rest end up turning slightly north over the Irish Sea. Also any time I looked out for contrails recently, they never seem to have contrails any more. Bah Humbug!

I saw quite a few at the begining off the week going over between Ballinderry and Lurgan direction.
I reckon Casper is in a good place to catch traffic overhead-don`t see to many over BFS now,and when there is something,it`s almost always BA B767,B747 or a Swiss A340.

Looks like WOW Air String. Saw one of their aircraft myself when transitting through Copenhagen during the Summer.

Just checked flight radar and it confirms it is nordic solutions A320 .

Flight Radar needs some updating String. Nordic Solutions hasn't exsisted since 2008, it's now Avion Express (based in Vilnius) since their reband. However the particular aircraft you saw overhead (LY-VEY) is on long term lease to WOW Air. :)

Nothing particularly exciting, but a few from this morning while I was out for a drive.

seems to be an extra 'stream' from the aircraft body? which stopped in subsequent pics, as though they were 'dumping' something?

An Ethiopian 787 just flew over Belfast on it's delivery flight from Boeing Factory in Everett. Unfortunately it had no contrail and was just backlit for me, still managed to nab it at an awkward angle though.
