The Hobbit
« on: April 16, 2013, 09:21:37 AM »

Watched this the other night and can describe it with a few single words - shit, crap, awful, rubbish, rank.
Turned it off with around an hour to go. I can't believe Peter Jackson even put his name to this

It definitely wasn't on par with LOTR, I felt some scenes to be very cheesey and dragged on more than they needed to, Sylvester McCoy not a great choice, the acting from some of the others a bit too hammy as well, too much crap singing, and the first film lasted longer than it takes the average person to read the whole book! But I'm a sucker for them, so I'll still keep watching them!

Interesting you mention Sylvester McCoy-one of the worst actors the UK has ever produced :-X -he was dreadful as Dr.Who,mind you the budget for the show then was probably about 25p,well it sure looked that way.

I believe James Nesbitt is in The Hobbit-he will love that-he is so full of himself. ::)

To be honest I can`t be bothered with either The Lord Of The Rings or The Hobbit-I tried to read the books, but found them very irritating and complicated-I could not keep track of it at all.I think these fall into the love them or hate them category.

It seems to me Peter Jackson deliberately drags out the stories so he can make more sequels.

What wrecked it for me was the wolf type things chasing Sylvester on his rabbit drawn sled-awful CGI
