It is seriously impressive. The Tornado, Jag and Harrier alone out the front are impressive enough in themselves nevermind everything else. Didn't go this year but hope to get again.

Was down today and what a turn out. Took this last night and I have to admit it is one hell of an impressive display.

1354 LX-EAA landed BFS.

1530 LX-EAA Departed BFS.

ETA 1425 Cavok Air Antonov AN-12BP UR-CKM as CVK7038 from BDS.

UPDATE UR-CKM landed 1430, Due out tomorrow 12/09 ETD 1010 as CVK7039 to VGO

1126 Amalfi Jets Cessna Grand Caravan EX N288AM departed EGAD as reg to BRS.

Looks like the reds are crossing the English channel at present heading back for the mainland.

Longleat also cancelled now by the Reds.

Red 10 arrived at Jersey today, so it looks like that display is going ahead.

An upgraded new version of the Hawk makes perfect sense, but I have a feeling we are going to get American. I'd still love the T-50 Golden Eagle as a replacement. Proven as a trainer, proven in close formation display flying and also doubles as a light strike aircraft. The mini F-16 look also makes them look great

They had a problem at Ayr Airshow last weekend as well and displayed with only 6 aircraft on the Saturday, I saw some of the Saturday display on youtube.
The Friday evening display had seven aircaft.
It doesn`t bode well for the end of the season, parts must be in very short supply, I recall reading an article about 10-12 years ago,and their were a fairly large number of Hawk T1`s and parts in storage at RAF Shawbury.
I can only assume that those have been used up.

I think it`s rather odd that BAe Systems don`t put the Hawk back into production,there is a demand for it,and I doubt the Reds want to fly a US built aircraft.
Surely the RR Turbomeca Adour engine issues that plagued the T2 could be fixed? Maybe the French don`t want to play ball anymore?

It`s all looking very messy.

More troubles for the Reds.  having to pull out of a show in Guernsey and  this weekend due to "issues with aircraft and engineering resource" and Sanicole for " "not being fully available",  They are also due at Duxford, but I don't see that happening now
