Woodgate have released a statement. No one was hurt.

https://www.facebook.com/WoodgateAir

QuoteWoodgate Aviation can confirm that one of its Beechcraft fixed-wing aircraft was involved in an emergency landing at Birmingham Airport earlier today.

The turbo-prop aircraft was on a repositioning flight to Belfast International Airport when it developed landing gear problems. The aircraft returned to Birmingham and made an emergency landing and the main under-carriage collapsed on touch down.

Two crew members and a passenger were on board but were uninjured.

The aircraft has been removed from the runway and we will be co-operating fully with Air Accident investigators and airport services.

We would like to pay tribute to the professionalism of our colleagues and the emergency services at the airport for their prompt action.

I see woodgates G-NIAA Beech B200 super king has been involved with what looks like a landing gear fault. From what I can gather it departed BHX and returned due to a fault in the video it looks like the main gear isn't locked down correctly .

Military Aircraft (New & Old) / Re: Turkish A400M

I don`t know one way or the other, but when the aircraft made it`s debut at RIAT 2012 it was announced it would be called Airbus A400M Atlas.

I suppose it`s down to the particular operator if they want to use the Atlas name or not.

Question from Sneaky Nikon...

;D Right, I've asked this in a couple of places and I never get a straight answer. Does anyone know if the Turks call their A400s "Atlas"?

I ask because the Turks don't call Atlas (the bloke that holds up the sky in myth) Atlas, something to do with their antipathy for Greeks I think, but I wouldn't swear to it.

The answers to questions like these keep me awake at night.

Quote from: angry turnip on Aug 02, 2025, 18:28I think the Connie was over from USA for Berlin Airlift 50th, so it would have been 1997 or 1998.
John Travolta owned it for a while according to the commentary at Ards. I maybe horribly wrong. ;D

You were bang on - looked up the 1998 video in this pile and sure enough there's a silver one doing a few passes!
