Attracted a lot of attention online this weekend, but according to the aircraft operator it was cleared by the authorities to be this low.

SA does have a habit of very low flypasts if you remember the 1995 rugby world cup final 747 flypast.

Possibly in private, but Airlink came out with a pretty strong statement defending the flypast and claiming it was bang on the planned display. 

I thought it was rather good myself, if just a tad risky. I see another flypast for Johannesburg by the same airline has been scrubbed.

Scrubbing the next flypast says a lot - who scrubbed it though - the airline or authorities?
