A pretty good day all in all for contrail spotting, a load of Air France stuff came directly overhead during the afternoon, including 2x A380's and their Sky Team 777. :)

Air France SkyTeam 777-300ER

Air France A380 #2

Cheers Don, Fridays looking clear on Friday for both Dublin and Belfast... I'm torn between a day in Dublin and another lazy day in the garden at home!

Very Nice, I was standing out in my back garden about lunch time watching the AFR A380 go over with a "Twin" trailing it, I told my wife what it was (she's used to it now) and said I bet some-one on here will catch a great shot of it, and I was correct! :) What was the trailing twin?

Thanks Aertank! According to my scribbles from yesterday, an Air France 777-200ER was a minute behind one of the Air France A380's yesterday. Three minutes later an Air France 747 followed in the same direction. :)

Nice one string, it's always nice to catch an A380, they're starting to fill the skies now.

Here's a few from Dublin yesterday, does anyone happen to know the reg of the Emirates A380 and Singapore Airlines A340-500 that overflew Dublin yesterday morning?

Very Nice String-Try underxposing your contrail shots a bit say 1-2 stops;and you will find detail comes out better. Also make sure your have the image stabiliser on,and use around 1/640th to 1/800th shutter speed to increase the sharpness.Hopefully you will find this useful. :)

I noticed two high flyers this morning at BFS coming from NW direction that would have possible to photograph with the moon in the backround.
Sadly I was going to work, and too busy scrapping ice of my windscreen to get my camera.

Thanks, well pleased with my first shot, not so much with the second, but thought it worth sharing. It was nice weather, in and around Belfast for the most part, so thought I may as well, get the camera and tripod.

While out today about 11/12 ish, stopped up at the Knockagh Monument (above Greenisland) & took a few snaps, unfortunately much of the vapour from previous flights was staying visible & made getting clear shots awkward.

Mystery caller... any ideas?  Overhead Ards at 10:10 today ( 18th ) and moving fast.  Nothing on ADS-B for him.

Couldn't quite resolve the reg but it looks like a XX-xxx format.
