Absolutely horrible. Reminds me of the USMC KC130 that came apart mid air in 2017

Sadly no one has survived. 20 on board.

If that video is legit, and I think it is, it looks awful. Breakup in mid flight.

There are also pictures of wreckage on the ground and it's definitely C130 material.

There is video supposedly showing the aircraft wreckage falling from the sky, but unconfirmed as yet.

The investigation into what caused the crash of Air India`s Boeing 787 flight to Gatwick 12th June 2025 rumbles on.

More information has come to light from other operators involving serious electrical problems with the aircraft type.
Allegations have been made that the Indian led investigation rushed into finding a cause, blaming one or other of the flight crew, and have not given correct consideration to other possible causes.

A little bit of explination as to what JP-8 is and does...

The USAFreplaced JP-4 with JP-8 completely by the end of 1995, to use a less flammable, less hazardous fuel for better safety and combat survivability. In 2014, they completed the process of converting all JP-8 installations within the continental US to use commercial Jet A-1 fuel with additional additives.Installations in Alaska still utilize JP-8 in place of Jet A-1 because of its better suitability in cold weather environments.

Beyond use in vehicles from trucks to tanks to planes, JP-8 is used in U.S. Army heaters and stoves.

Via FB post, Global Trek are advertising the availability of JP-8 fuel at Aldergrove. I wonder if it'll bring us more or different visitors? I presume they must think there's a market.

Terrifying accident, odd the NTSB would dismiss rumours that one of the engine's had some work done, delaying the flight,so soon. They will look at everything and everyone involved.

Looks like a possible structural failure, those big freighter's operate under tough conditions, and being an older type, metal fatigue may have played a part.

Totally tragic.  There is footage of a guy sitting in his truck at the end of the runway - the fireball just misses him.

I think in this case, after the engine detached, it sent shrapnel into the No.2 engine, rendering it useless - so there was not even enough thrust to get airborne, given they had a full fuel load and cargo.

There were rumours the flight was delayed 2hrs as there was work being carried out on the No.1 engine - the NTSB stated there was no evidence of this.
