I've started avoiding flying out of it in recent years after Cosford Airshow. Removing the escalators and relying on lifts only to security is shambolic. They do have stairs but its at staffs discretion when it is busy as the security queue can start downstairs, then lift up and then another queue to security. I won't get in a lift. I now take the train down to London and fly from Stansted each year since the redevelopment.

1313 Mishaal Alsudairy Aviation Diamond DA42 Twin-star HZ-MSA reg as callsign due into BFS from KEF.

This aircraft seems to be the same one Captain Mishaal Al-Sudairy used/owns who completed a round the world trip if im reading it correctly.

I had a flight into/out of BHX a few years ago,the place was a building site,much needed improvements from what I was told. Clearly it`s still a stink pot.

More problems for BHX last night. Massive power cut throughout the area and toilets majorly overflowing according to FB posts

Lots of complaints on the Birmingham airport group. Toilets are in a bad state too.

I don't like travelling through Birmingham in the last couple of years. Overcrowed and dirty

Just saw a story in BBC reporting that alot of passengers are being left stranded on holiday without their luggage due to issues at BHX. Not a great start to anyone's holiday!

I see most support staff were sent on home anyway to get some R'nR before seeing out the rest of the season.

Saw some footage of the Reds display at last Saturday's Oshkosh airshow and they did look good - nice and tight formation/display.

Display was better than I expected with the new exit after display over crowd and double Goose. Still, lacking compared to other teams in recent years.  Will see them again at Duxford in September.
