Some nice shots all round. Angry, did you ever get your Sigma sent off and recalibrated? I sent mine off 3 weeks ago and just got it back today, haven't tested it yet though.

Took delivery of a 150-500mm lens last Saturday and finally got to use it a while ago.....

Taken from about 17 miles and a altitude of 34000ft....

Could it be The Bahrain Amiri flight? Didn't they replace the SP with a 744?

Hi

Looks as though it could be Kalitta Air (N743CK).

Cheers

Sorry I was thinking of the Qatari 747sp, which now seems to be replaced with a 748i BBJ. Kalitta Air seems probable!

Nice shots from today. My view of N272WA as it flew directly over me.

Good shot!  What utterly different lighting we had for the same subject despite only being a handful of miles apart.

Yes, quite a difference a few miles make. I was in the middle of dinner so I didn't even think to hang around and watch to fly off towards the sun.

Very nice Smudge, I'm a fan of those raked wingtips myself, they look quite elegant and give the wings a longer appearance from nose on.

Very little passing through MIMKU at the moment but I did catch Singapore Cargo's 9V-SFP eastbound at dinner time tonight.  Sunlight from aft, contrary to my usual shots!  Just a little evening light catching the port ventral fairing.

Remainder of the underside illuminated from surface reflection.

Contrails still set to 'OFF'.  That's over three weeks now...

I heard passing over BFS,but could not see him due to cloud, and as you mention lack of contrail.

Nice shots there Smudge; not too many high flyers over BFS tonight, but noticed this at around 2020ish-quality not great as I am using a 90-300mm at the mo,whilst my Sigma is being serviced

Thanks Smudge-I knew the aircraft type, but could not recall the operator-think I have seen these over BFS in the past.

Saw it again tonight, hiding in some wispy cloud.
