Some blue sky visable just now,but nothing going OTT.Alitalia A330 EI-EJJ went over approx 10-15 mins ago,but clouded in up here at BFS.

Just had a try at N605HC Canadair Challenger track 293 at 38,000ft,and Air France F-GSPL Boeing B777-228 ER track 298 at 36,000ft-pics later if any of use.

Very tricky to get anything today-FR24 seems to have a 3 or 4 min delay, and loads of thick blankets of cloud keep appearing up here if anything interesting is due to go OTT.
I noticed a Bahrain Royal Flight B747SP over Cumbria now tracking NW-that would be nice to see in BFS 8)

Lovely Belgian AT!

Were you down to the south a bit today?

No,usual spot in my garden-the Brussels A330 went almost directly overhead, just managed to catch it between thick masses of cloud.

I wonder how long before Alitalia finally go under-they seem to have nine lives.

Very frustrating today;every time something of interest was due to overfly,it clouded over or rained or both.

I should have got out of my pit earlier. :-[

That's the one; just found an entry on airliners.net that N642UA will be the last UAL 767 to receive the new livery, in March next year.

Utter dearth of anything OTT today, they're all heading up through Scotland for the northerly entry points.

This rather bland Turkish B77W was a rare eastbound traveler, caught in a hole through the clouds.  A belly logo would have brightened the livery nicely.

Another oddity was this southbound B738 I-NEOW of Italy's Neos.  FL350 and no holes in the cloud for this guy, just had to shoot him through the overcast when the Sun hit the correct angle

A hacked-around former TUI livery, callsign MOONFLOWER!  Cool.

Some recent ones-sadly a bit too far out to get much detail.

Distant, oblique, grainy, dusky photo... but what a rare bird.

Sky Airlines of Turkey's B734 TC-SKM northbound out of Shannon after Sunset.

Not sure what the callsign is about: N288KG.  N2 is Dagestan Airlines' IATA identifier.   ???

ISO1250 and 1/125th to dig this guy out of the gloom.

Edit at 19:15: still trucking, currently over Romania heading SE towards Turkey.  FL280 all the way, short-winged second-gen 737.

http://planefinder.net/flight/N288KG

Edit at 20:15: commenced descent over Becau in Romania at 19:25 but lost track of him after that.  Other a/c on the same track landed at Istanbul.

Cheers guys!

I was initially gutted because I missed a Moon Shot; as he approached from the South he carved right through the disk of the dusk Moon but I had to take a work call :(

But when I realised it was quite a rare bird I was happy again!
